My first 2 weeks at Peak Associates as an Environmental Intern

As a recent Lancaster University graduate I was looking for an interesting and diverse job for the opportunity to apply my university-learnt skills to 'real' world scenarios. Through this sought-after internship, Peak Associates has given me the chance to show what I am capable of. As a student I did not know what to expect when I arrived to the office on my first day; but after just a week of training, safety briefings and research & development, I was ready to apply my knowledge to the field. I have completed surface water surveys, Great Crested Newt torch surveys and asbestos sampling as well as going to business meetings. What company would give you all of these learning opportunities within the first 2 weeks! I am now really excited to see what else this unique company has in store for me over the next 10 weeks; nothing could or would surprise me.
